How Julia can Help:
Reaching out for help can feel scary and although I am a therapist, I know this because I am human too! I am an empathetic and attentive listener who strives to make my clients feel at home. I apply an integrative and client-centered approach, tailored to meet individualized needs and goals. While I utilize a variety of techniques and modalities, developing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is my primary value as a practitioner. Everybody deserves to live a meaningful and fulfilling life, and together we can develop goals and tools to make that happen!
Experience:
Julia is a Registered Psychotherapist and recently completed her Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University and a post-graduate diploma in Mediation & Alternative Dispute Resolution from Durham College. Julia has over 20 years of dance experience in performing arts and teaching and is enthusiastic about the mind, body, and spirit connection as trauma manifests in the body. When appropriate, she enjoys exploring movement-based techniques and utilizing humour in sessions.

Life at times can feel overwhelming and even the strongest relationships hit rough patches. I can offer a calm, safe space where you can slow down, explore what you truly need from each other, and reconnect with intention.
Together, we look at patterns, strengthen communication, and uncover practical ways to repair, rebuild, and deepen connection so partners can move forward with better clarity, armed with skills, compassion, and confidence to navigate their journeys together.
Alternatively, I can help couples determine if a separation or break-up is the best next step in their lives. I offer support for un-coupling and navigating separate paths, optimizing success where possible. I can work with couples together and/or individuals depending on where you are at in your journey.
I am a registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist offering individual and couples psychotherapy with a specialization in mental health and sexuality. I have worked extensively with individuals and couples with relational problems, sexual concerns and sexual identify questions.
Alongside my mental health expertise, I bring extensive training in healthy sexuality and sex therapy to help individuals understand themselves better, strengthen decisions making and help couples improve communication and rebuild connection. I work collaboratively and practically, using evidence-based approaches (CBT, EFT and CT) to explore needs, patterns, and actionable changes that restore intimacy and trust.
I am a wife, mother, devoted friend and daughter. Like many of you, I wear many hats and try my best to honour all my roles and relationships while trying hard not to neglect my own needs. Life is a balance and I try to live by taking one day at a time.
One of my favourite sayings is “Not every day is good but there is something good, in every day.”
